Brisbane is located on the East Coast of Queensland about one hour north of the Gold Coast. There are several ways to get to Brisbane, Australia.
Brisbane is serviced by world class domestic and international airports located just 20 minutes from the city centre. Brisbane International Airport operates 24/7 and has direct international flights each week. It has separate international and domestic terminals about 2km apart, linked by the Airtrain. Driving To Brisbane
Driving from the Gold Coast takes about one hour. The distance between Brisbane and Sydney is 938km and the trip usually takes about 12 hours. Much work has been done to the Pacific Highway making for a more enjoyable drive from the south.
From the north, Noosa to Brisbane is about a two-hour drive, covering approximately 140km. Coming from as far north as Cairns is a drive best taken over a number of days. The total distance is approximately 1700km and would take about 22 hours to complete. Whenever driving long distances, driver fatigue should be avoided by sharing the driving and taking rest breaks every 2 hours.

Brisbane by bus
Buses arrive in Brisbane regularly at the main bus terminal at the Transit Centre on Roma St. Bus Depot located at Central station on Anne Street and can offer a convenient, budget way of getting to Brisbane from other centres within Australia. Brisbane by train
Intercity trains, including trains from the airport, arrive regularly at Central Station. Visit airtrain.com.au for on-line bookings to and from the airport.
The train tracks in Queensland are a different size to those in NSW, as such there is no train service from NSW (without changing to a bus as you approach the border). Trains do run from the Gold Coast, which is a 90-minute trip.

Arriving in Brisbane
Once you arrive in Brisbane, there are several ways to get to the Conference venue – the Brisbane Convention Centre and nearby hotels/apartments.
Airtrain offers convenient services between the Airport, Brisbane City and the Gold Coast, as well as transfers between the Domestic and International Terminals. Airtrain operates every day between 5.45am and 10pm, departing every 15 minutes during peak hours. Airport to Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is a 22 minute ride by Airtrain.
